Would have appreciated knowing that ahead of time. The only negative thing I could possibly say was that the young server who took our order asked us what side we wanted with our grilled cheese and told us choices: we selected the tomato soup and then found an “up charge” of $3.00 to our bill when we looked at the receipt. Great layout of self tour of working factory and friendly staff. If I lived there, I would frequent often. The retail area had very reasonable prices and a wide selection of food and branded merchandise. We didn’t try the ice cream - we were too full from the shared savory dishes we tried. The tomato soup was also good with chunks of soft cheese mixed into the soup. The grilled cheese was well done with high quality cheese - not greasy and oily. The spicy Mac and cheese was shared and had meat and cheese with large noodles. We tried the spicy Mac and cheese, grilled cheese sandwich, and tomato soup. Also offered is a restaurant where they serve food and ice cream. When traveling highway 101 we randomly stopped at this experience- this is a free attraction that allows you to tour a live factory and gives you free samples of cheese. ![]() Good experience, plenty of free parking, great food.
